Speaker Lab

October 2026

Two hours. Six speakers. One stage. And a room that felt like the safest place to make mistakes.

We’ve been talking about doing this for a while. Getting women who speak — or who are ready to speak — into a room together with a camera, a photographer, and enough time to actually capture something real. Not a polished corporate shoot. Not a performative highlight reel. Just women doing their work, on a stage, with other women who understood exactly what that cost them to do.

That’s what the October Speaker Lab was.

Six women showed up with their material, their nerves, and in most cases a second outfit. Each one got a guaranteed run on stage — 10 to 15 minutes of keynote or workshop content, filmed and photographed while it happened. If something didn’t land the way they wanted, they tried it again. If a different angle felt better, we got it. We shot for what was real, not what looked good on the first take.

What nobody tells you when you’re building a speaking career is how hard it is to get proof. You need video of yourself on stage to get booked, but you need to get booked to get video of yourself on stage. The Speaker Lab exists to break that loop. Every woman who walked out of that room walked out with content she can actually use — a sizzle reel, landing page photos, social clips, a month of posts — built from two hours of real work in a real room.

But the part that mattered most wasn’t the footage.

It was watching someone stop mid-sentence, shake it off, and go again. It was the moment another person found the exact right way to say the thing she’d been trying to say for months. It was the laughter between takes and the dinner afterward that nobody wanted to end. It was six women, working out loud, in front of each other, in a room where nobody was performing and everyone was just trying to get it right.

That’s what this was. And we’re doing it again.

Happy Hour

Every month, in a different woman-owned business, because showing up somewhere is its own kind of support.

We stop being polite about the systems that weren't built for us and start building the plan to change them.
